The Chinese International Search and Rescue team has just returned from the Tsunami

affected area where they treated more than 10,000 victims of the disaster. The CISAR had

just days before the disaster on 26th December, returned from intensive Search and Rescue/

Disaster Management course at ICET, Holland. No sooner were they back in China before they

had to leave to join the relief operations. CISAR had attended a tailor made course supported

by the Dutch Government program NUFFIC. CISAR received 3 weeks training at our training

centre n Ramsdonksveer, Holland at several other specialist sites. There was probably no better

equipped and trained team in the rescue operation, with fresh, modern training the CISAR

team carried out an enormous amount of work in Aceh, one of the worst affected areas,

demonstrating the benevolent nature of the Chinese people and the government of China.
