Virtual Incident Exercises Virtual incident scenarios are built by adding intelligent virtual objects to a scenario timeline. The DiaboloVR model databases contains many intelligent virtual rescuers, victims, vehicles, public and other objects. They are all highly realistic to meet the specific educational objectives of incident management training. Our Scenario Engineers work together with your content specialists to create scenarios geared to your individual requirements. The location of the virtual incidents can be newly built, but can also be efficiently created from existing 3d/CAD drawings used by engineers and architects. This makes it possible to create customized scenarios for the high risk sites in your region.
Training and Exercising From a single student to a multi-agency team our virtual incident scenarios are designed to develop procedural awareness and insight. Students stepping into a scenario will find themselves saturated with the sights and sounds of an incident as they navigate through and interact with virtual victims, rescuers and other key players. All students needs to do is walk around the incident a s they would in real life, this time using a joystick. They do not have to click any buttons on the screens. The student's decisions are input into the scenario by the instructor. The scenario reacts to these decisions. as well as to a timeline. The instructor has full control over the scenario. |
Instructor-led training can be used for group training in a classroom setting or for individual students. In a team-training setup, multiple students (up to 10 students) can play their own roles on their own computer in the same virtual incident. they walk around in the incident individually and can see each other . Each student's decisions affects all other.
Assessment and feedback The software records al the actions and the way students move through the environment. The student's actions can be reviewed immediately after the exercise or at a later time. A recording of the scenario providing the instructor the ability to jump to specific moments in the exercise and show alternative decisions and their effects. Results of multiple students can be compared and used to evaluate student's skill over time.

Once a scenario has been created, it can always be adapted. A small change in the scenario may have major effects on the educational objectives. As a result, creating new training scenarios can be done in a cost-effective way. You can configure and save multiple versions of a scenario yourself using the Configuration Module. More advanced change can be made by our Scenario Engineers. Customized or off-the-shelf When you decided to start enhancing your curriculum with virtual incident exercises, you can choose between existing off-the-shelf scenarios are licensed on a per-computer basis. You may train an unlimited number of students with the scenarios. Custom-made scenario's are designed and developed from scratch by a team of your subject-matter experts and E-Sembler's scenario advisors and engineers. Development of custom-made scenarios is done on a project basis.
