Motorised vehicular gates alone usually do not meet the required international standards for ram resistance (7.5 tonne vehicle at 40 km/hr). Where site access security is essential other methods must be employed to strengthen (harden) the gates. The weight of the gates impacts heavily on the gate motor and restricts the opening speed and type of gate motor that can be employed. Road blockers harden the gate to give excellent to ram resistance. The steel segment is hydraulically operated and can be coupled to any access control system, while providing a highly secure protection facility. Various sizes are available, depending upon the situation and direct access by vehicles. |

Where the intention is only to restrict access or parking, but still allow reasonable access, automatic or semi-automatic road bollards provide an effective and flexible system of access control. Such bollards are not rated at international ramming standards, but are effective in prohibiting unauthorised access and parking. |

| Tiger Teeth Tyre Killers
Tiger Teeth provide a vehicle stopping facility for lightweight gates and barriers. The teeth are raised and lowered to allow access to the site. Should a vehicle run over the raised teeth, the tyres are immediately punctured and the vehicle disabled. The Tiger Teeth are hydraulically operated and can be linked to an access control system and/traffic light system. |

barriers.
Road barriers / Car park barriers provide the lowest form of mechanical access control for vehicles, but are very effective in non-sensitive areas and access points. The systems can be linked to access control systems, hand held controllers or ticket issuing machines. Road barriers are available in light, medium and heavy duty models, manual or electro-mechanical driven. |

| Turnstiles
Turnstiles are used for high volume trafficked area in factories, subways, stadia and other such areas where pedestrian access is to be monitored or controlled. The turnstiles can be single direction or dual direction and can be connected to any access control system. If an emergency occurs the arms can be retracted to allow free unrestricted flow of pedestrians. |

| Optical Turnstiles.
Optical turnstiles are a simple and unobtrusive access control system, whereby an access control card holder shows his badge to a card reader and proceeds through the optical barrier. If the card is valid there is no action, but should an unauthorised card be used or a person does not show a card, an alarm is triggered and the Reception Guard will intervene. Optical turnstiles prevent 'tail-gating' and card 'passback'. Optical turnstiles come in a variety of styles and models and can be fitted with automatic arms to restrict access. Used in high volume areas such as building lobbies, the optical turnstile is designed to be unobtrusive, while maintaining highly effective access control. |

| Teller's Drawers.
Teller's drawers provide staff at pay points and Visa Sections with security from the public. The glass provided in the screens and Teller's Drawers meets UL ballistic ratings (certified) and the frames can be filled to provide adequate protection for the employee. A document tray is provided, with sliding cover, adding further protection. The table top can be made to almost any material to allow for the client's circumstances and environment. Microphone systems are provided to allow easy communications between the public and employee. |
